Usability testing is a special form of testing that looks for bugs not in the functionality of the program, but in the layout and utility of the user interface. This step is often performed on a prototype before the actual system code is written, so it is easy to change if needed. For usability testing, you need to plan:
01. How you will choose the users for the test (what is a representative sample of your real user population?)
02. A set of tasks for the users to perform representing paths through your system showing key functionality
03. A method for getting feedback from the users - surveys, interviews, data collection in the system itself
04. How you will analyze the data you collected in order to make improvements to the user interface
